Overview

The three-day Tsavo West & Amboseli Safari combines two of Kenya’s most dramatically scenic national parks. Tsavo West is characterized by volcanic landscapes – black Shetani lava flows from an eruption about 200 years ago, the Roaring Rocks with panoramic views, and the crystal-clear Mzima Springs, where 250 million litres of water bubble up from underground sources every day. The Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary is home to over 70 black rhinos under 24-hour surveillance – intense rhino tracking experiences guaranteed. Amboseli National Park lies at the foot of Kilimanjaro and offers the most spectacular elephant photo opportunities in Africa: large herds of 50 to 100 animals in front of the snow-capped peak of Africa’s highest mountain (5,895 m). Amboseli is home to over 1,600 elephants, often in family groups with young animals. Five different habitats – open plains, acacia forests, swamps, savannah – attract a variety of wildlife: buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, over 400 species of birds. This safari is ideal for coastal guests who want to experience dramatic landscapes and iconic Kilimanjaro views in a short time. Short journey: only 3–4 hours from Mombasa to Tsavo West.
