Overview

Your private safari begins early in the morning with a convenient pickup from your hotel. You’ll travel through Mombasa toward Nairobi, covering approximately 160 km to reach the entrance gate of Tsavo East National Park.
The drive takes about 3 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Along the way, you’ll pass through small villages, coastal farmland, and rolling hills – offering you a fascinating glimpse into Kenya’s rural life and ever-changing landscapes. It’s a scenic journey that gradually transitions from lush greenery to the warm, arid tones of the African savannah.
As soon as you enter the park, the adventure begins. The striking red earth, open savannah landscapes, and winding trails instantly immerse you in the wild beauty of authentic Africa. Early wildlife sightings are common. A key highlight is your visit to Kanderi Swamp, a lush area that regularly attracts herds of red elephants and buffaloes. With a bit of luck, you might even spot lions resting in the shade.
We leave Tsavo East and reach Saltlick Lodge in time for lunch.

After check-in, you’ll have time to relax before we start our next adventure in the early evening.
Your journey continues as you cross into the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.

On our return, they take time for a delicious dinner at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, known for its one-of-a-kind stilted architecture and its location right in the heart of wildlife territory.
Day two starts before sunrise with an exciting early morning game drive – the best time to witness predators in action. Afterwards, you’ll return for a hearty breakfast and then head out on another round of wildlife viewing.
Lunch will be served at Kilimanjaro Restaurant. Afterwards, you’ll begin the return journey to the coast, full of lasting memories and unforgettable animal encounters.
Two amazing days. Two diverse parks. One extraordinary experience in the wild heart of Kenya.
