Discover Kenya’s Wild Beauty: Tsavo Safari Adventure

Begin your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Diani Beach, Mombasa or North Coast

You will then set off in the direction of Tsavo. After a 230 km, approximately 3 to 4 hours away. Drive through Mombasa and on the main road towards Nairobi, you will enter the Taita Hills Conservation Area (located on the edge of Tsavo West), which is particularly impressive due to its breathtaking and rugged landscape.

Immerse yourself in Kenya’s raw and untamed wilderness on this exclusive 3-day private safari, combining the majestic landscapes of Tsavo East and West. Enjoy unmatched intimacy with nature as you travel in your own private 4×4 safari jeep—no shared vehicles, no compromises.

Begin in Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s oldest and one of its largest reserves. Here, vast savannas dotted with baobab trees stretch into the horizon. Watch herds of “red” elephants roll in iron-rich soil, observe prides of lions resting in the shade, and admire giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and over 600 bird species soaring above the open plains.

Relax at Ashnil Aruba Lodge, overlooking the tranquil Aruba Dam. With spacious rooms and luxury tented suites, the lodge offers a peaceful retreat with modern comfort, poolside relaxation, and panoramic wildlife views directly from the terrace or lounge.

Continue your journey into the contrasting landscapes of Tsavo West, where volcanic rock formations and lush greenery offer a dramatic backdrop. Nestled by the Sante River near the Tanzanian border, Voyager Ziwani Camp awaits. This riverside haven features large canvas tents with private verandas, where you can wake up to the calls of hippos, crocs, and grazing elephants.

The camp’s eco-conscious approach, solar energy, and riverside charm create one of Kenya’s most serene safari stays—ideal for couples, solo travelers, and families. Enjoy guided nature walks, stargazing by the fire, and immersive wildlife moments from dawn to dusk.

This experience isn’t just a trip—it’s a deeply personal encounter with the soul of Africa.

Worth knowing

Is this safari really private – or will we be grouped together with other guests?

This is a shared group safari, not a private tour. You will travel together with other guests in a custom 4×4 safari jeep (maximum 6–8 persons). Window seats are guaranteed for up to 6 guests. With 7–8 participants, one or two may be seated in the middle. This format offers a more affordable safari while still ensuring a high-quality wildlife experience with expert guides.

Are all parking fees and entrance fees included in the price?

Yes, all fees are included: Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. You don't need to pay anything extra on site - there are no hidden costs.

What animals can you see along the way?

In Tsavo East, the famous red elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras and numerous antelope species await you. In Tsavo West there are often hippos, crocodiles, buffalo and even rhinos. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter leopards and cheetahs.

Can we see animals directly from the accommodation?

Yes, both lodges offer spectacular wildlife viewing directly from the room or veranda. Ashnil Aruba overlooks a waterhole - often visited by elephants. Voyager Ziwani is located on the river - hippos and crocodiles are regular guests here.

Is there WLAN or cell phone reception in the lodges?

Both accommodations offer limited WLAN in the public areas. However, reception is not always guaranteed in the countryside - but you will experience real peace and pure wilderness.

Is the water in the vehicle drinkable and sufficiently available?

Yes, we provide you with free bottled drinking water throughout the safari - directly in the vehicle and at mealtimes.

Is the safari also suitable for children?

Yes, with pleasure! Both lodges are family-friendly, with plenty of space, safe grounds and experienced staff. We are happy to adapt the safari to your pace of travel.

Can we incorporate our own wishes or stops?

Of course! As this is a private safari, your driver-guide will adapt to your wishes - whether it's a photo stop, a longer stay for animal sightings or spontaneous breaks.

What makes the lodges special?

Ashnil Aruba impresses with its modern safari ambience directly at the waterhole. Voyager Ziwani offers comfortable tents with a bathroom, private veranda and views of Mount Kilimanjaro - a real highlight!

What happens when it rains or the weather is bad?

The safari takes place in all weathers - rain is part of nature. Our vehicles are prepared for this. And: rainy season = green landscapes + lots of animal sightings!
